This week marked an exciting milestone in our work with Christ Church Anglican at Gladesville and Sydney Anglican Property to deliver new ministry and community facilities in Sydney’s north!
The DA for a new 80-place preschool on the church’s Putney site has been lodged with the City of Ryde. The new operation will replace the existing 60-place facility on the church’s main site at Gladesville, thereby freeing up development capacity for additional, fit-for-purpose ministry facilities.
The new preschool, that will continue to be run by mission-aligned operators Christ Church Gladesville Preschool, is set to meet a clear need in the local community for additional spaces.
SDG’s Managing Director, Richard Ollerhead said the project represents a wonderful opportunity for the parish to retain the site, deliver an important community service and upgrade ministry facilities.
“Activating church property for gospel impact and community good is what SDG is passionate about. This project represents an excellent opportunity to do just that.
“Importantly, the existing church building on the Putney site will be retained, while still delivering a brand new, expanded preschool that meets the needs of the local community.
“And it all contributes to the parish’s main objective of gospel mission by facilitating a much-needed expansion and upgrading of ministry facilities.”
