SDG is proud to partner with Wesley Mission in advancing a vital affordable housing initiative in Curtin, ACT. The proposed development, comprising 83 affordable rental apartments and 15 specialist units for people living with enduring mental illness, along with a dedicated caretaker apartment, will be constructed on land leased from the Uniting Church Property Trust. The project has been carefully designed to foster community connection, independence, and long-term wellbeing for residents, particularly those most at risk of housing insecurity.
SDG played a key role in project feasibility and led the preparation and lodgement of the Development Application in March 2025. The initiative has attracted significant interest from government, with the project named a preferred applicant under Round 1 of the Federal Government’s Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFFF). This places the development in a strong position to secure funding and move toward delivery of high-quality, purpose-driven housing that meets both social and community needs.
