In 2023, Burmese Christian Church achieved an approval for alterations and additions to upgrade its existing church facilities and replace an old, underutilised building with one that meets the needs of the community. However, with a modification DA required to allow a number of minor amendments to the approved plans, SDG came on board in early 2025 to deliver project management services for the project.

An approval for the modification DA was achieved in June 2025 to allow the introduction of operable glass louvres to the northern windows, installation of A/C units on the roof, internal reconfiguration of the stage to accommodate a plant room, changes to the approved kitchen, removal of the approved baptism bath, and other minor modifications. With approval secured, SDG has now issued construction tenders for the project.

Burmese Christian Church has been serving its community for over 30 years and this renovation and upgrade to its site in South Granville, will ensure it is well placed to continue to do so for generations to come.
