Wesley Mission achieves DA approval at Curtin

DA approval has been achieved for Wesley Mission's affordable rental and supported housing project at Curtin, ACT!

SDG is proud to have contributed a range of services on this exciting and important project to date.

As well as leading preparation and lodgement of the DA itself, SDG advocated for the permissibility of this type of housing on community facility zoned land in the new Territory Plan and helped securing funding from both the Commonwealth and ACT Governments.

It's been great to work alongside a number of fantastic project partners to achieve this outcome, including AMC Architecture, Woden Valley Uniting Church and MyHome in Canberra.

With planning approval secured, Wesley Mission is now set to deliver 83 affordable housing units and 15 supported housing apartments on the site with a caretaker apartment, alongside landscaped public space for recreational purposes and community use.

This project will provide bright, modern, architect designed (and affordable!) homes for key workers, as well as housing with on-site care support for those with enduring mental illness - all close to employment, education and recreation opportunities.

The sort of project that SDG is proud to support!
