The approval this week of 74 social housing units on a disused church site close to transport and other amenities in Regents Park is proof of what can be achieved when government, industry and for-purpose partners work together to make the possible feasible and the feasible real.
SDG is extremely proud to have played a central role in bringing the project to this point - from evaluation to funding applications, consultant management, and all the way to DA approval. The collaboration with Housing Australia, Sydney Anglican Property, Anglicare Sydney, and St James Anglican Church Berala (amongst others) has been a real encouragement.
Their commitment to long term, purposeful and sustainable development has been inspiring. Not to mention their commitment to the many people who will call this place home - in particular single women over 55 and families in need of stable and secure accommodation.
