SDG client Grace City Church has received DA approval from the City of Sydney for the use and fit-out of its new home at Rosebery.
Grace City has been worshipping in Waterloo for 10 years, but with strong growth and a flourishing ministry, the church engaged SDG to undertake an up-front options review as it sought a new site that would better cater for its existing and future needs.
The result? An ideal site was identified in nearby Rosebery, with SDG also serving as Grace City's tenant representatives during lease negotiations and contract review.
With approval now secured, SDG will project manage the fit-out to turn this former industrial unit into a fit-for-purpose venue suitable for a thriving gospel community, including auditorium space for up to 350 (once fully developed), kids ministry capacity for 150, youth group capabilities, offices and meeting rooms, and cafe-style hospitality facilities.
Assistant Development Manager Henderson Gondwe said the project showcases the breadth of SDG's capabilities, taking a project all the way from conception through property search, to negotiation, approval and ultimately project delivery.
"Church representatives specialise in sharing the gospel and building a flourishing community of faith, not property matters. So, it's really rewarding to come alongside them and bring SDG's property expertise to bear on a project that will deliver real community benefits to one of Australia's fastest growing suburbs."
