SDG is delighted that a Development Application (DA) has been lodged and accepted for a landmark redevelopment of St Andrew’s Anglican Church in Lane Cove. This exciting mixed-use project, delivered in partnership with Sydney Anglican Property (SAP), Traders In Purple (TIP), and Plus Architecture, aims to revitalise a prominent corner site at the heart of Lane Cove’s vibrant Canopy retail and dining precinct.
The proposal includes 47 thoughtfully designed apartments, comprising two three-plus-bedrooms, 30 three-bedroom and 15 two-bedroom apartments, as well as 145 car parking spaces and a new 400-seat church auditorium. The development reflects a shared vision to address growing housing demand while enhancing the church’s ability to serve current and future generations through flexible, mission-oriented spaces.
This initiative forms part of SAP’s broader Urban Renewal Program, which seeks to develop underutilised sites for greater community and ministry impact. SDG led initial concept direction and project coordination to bring together stakeholders and manage the DA submission process. Once delivered, this project will stand as an example of how integrated design can deliver spiritual, residential, and community outcomes on one unified site.
