SDG has partnered with Sydney Anglican Property (SAP) to deliver a new preschool facility on the grounds of St Mark’s Anglican Church in Sadleir. This development was made possible through a $2.3 million grant secured from the NSW Government’s Start Strong Capital Works Program—covering approximately 85% of the total project cost. The funding proposal was developed and compiled by SDG in close collaboration with SAP and leading Christian early learning provider Integricare, who will operate the preschool as the accredited provider.
The preschool will create 60 new early learning places in a region where quality preschool services are in high demand. The project involves refurbishing an existing building and constructing a new classroom to create a purpose-built, standalone but co-located facility within the church grounds. The new centre will include children’s activity rooms, administrative offices and outdoor play areas, offering a safe, engaging, and developmentally enriching environment for young learners.
Beyond early education, the preschool space will be available for church use during evenings and weekends, fostering deeper engagement between the church and local families. The Development Application (DA) was lodged in December 2024, marking a key milestone in bringing this community-enriching vision to life.
