St Anne’s Anglican Strathfield recently contributed $2.5 million to the construction of a new church in Marsden Park, enhancing ministry opportunities in the rapidly growing area. In cooperation with Sydney Anglicans, SDG has been engaged to aid in developing a new site to help meet the needs of a diverse congregation with strong South Asian ties.
The Rev. Roger Kay of St Anne's emphasised the exciting potential for community connection, highlighting the need for a dedicated church space in a region with a considerable number of first-generation migrant Christians. Marsden Park has been identified as a priority location by Sydney Anglican Property, with plans to transition from meeting at a local school to a permanent church building soon.
