SDG is pleased with the significant progress that has been made in the construction of Hunter Bible Church's (HBC) new campus in Garden Suburb, 10km southwest of central Newcastle. The project has seen substantial progress with the above-ground works, including concrete slabs poured for the new Lounge and Shed. With the arrival of steel, the construction of the building envelope has commenced. The Lounge will feature large windows, a kitchen, a café area, and a deck on the North and East sides. The auditorium is also being upgraded, with plans to line and paint the ceiling and improve the existing lobby for multi-use purposes.
The new facilities for HBC promise to be an exciting gathering space for the community. With modern amenities and versatile spaces, the church aims to enhance its role as a central hub for worship, fellowship, and community activities. The project remains on track for a mid-year move-in date, and the community eagerly anticipates the completion of this transformative development.
